Bone Broth

Thank you so much for your prayers, my friends! This past Sunday I was in the hospital again with my Colitis and was bleeding pretty bad in my gut. I am happy to say I am now home and I'm healing well. The doctors were very happy by my progress. I went to a hospital that does Integrative, Functional and Traditional medicine and it made all the difference! The last time my Ulcerative Colitis flared up I put it into remission in under 3 wks. Its been since February 2011, so I'm very grateful. I'm repeating the entire process I did at that time, during the next month several month.

Would it be helpful to you if I share some helpful tips for healing your gut, losing weight, getting longer nails, staying lean and more? Please let me know!

I can share supplements, recipes, etc. just know that everyone is different. In 2011 I didn't need steroids but right now I do. God is supporting me and good holistic care is as well.

For example: Taking a probiotic called Saccharomyces Boulardii along with Prescript Assist (see Amazon) the broth, homemade gummies for more healing gelatin, DHEA and DGL licorice supports my body with the steroids.

I would love to share tips like this and more in upcoming weeks. Would that be helpful?

This is a slow cooked bone broth. I'll be sharing how I eat it 4x a day to heal. It's great for your gut, skin, hair, immune system and more!

Brasco Broth (with chicken feet but you can make it without)

Description: This recipe is referenced by the book "Restoring Your Digestive Health".
Servings: 3 Quarts
Cooking Time: 12 to 24 Hours (I cook mine 36-48 hours!)
Difficulty: average
Meal: lunch

3 Qts. Filtered Water
1/2 Ounce Structured Water Additive
1 Tblsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
4-6 Tblsp. Coconut Oil
1 Medium Organic, Free-range or Kosher Whole Chicken, Cleaned and Cut into pieces (If you wish, you can substitute beef or another type of poultry for the chicken.)
2-4 Chicken Feet
8 Organic Carrots, Sliced
6 Stalks of Organic Celery, Sliced
2-4 Organic Zucchinis, Sliced
3 Medium-Sized Organic White or Yellow Onions, Peeled and Diced
4 Inches Ginger, Grated
5 Cloves Garlic, Peeled and Diced (Omit if you have upper GI problems or severe heartburn.)
2-4 Tblsp. Moist High-Mineral Celtic Sea Salt
1 Large Bunch Of Parsley

Preparation: Place the filtered water in a large stainless steel pot, add the structured water additive and apple cider vinegar, and let stand for 10 minutes. Add the oil, chicken, chicken feet, vegetables, ginger, garlic, and sea salt; and bring to a boil over high heat. Cooking: Let boil for 60 seconds, then lower the heat and simmer for 12 to 24 hours. About 30 minutes before removing soup from the heat, add the parsley. Remove the soup from the heat. Remove and discard the chicken feet. Remove the chicken meat from the bones; place the chicken meat back in the soup and discard the bones.Serving: Ladel into soup bowls and serve hot. For acute situations with high inflammation, allow the soup to cool, then puree it in batches in a high-powered blender or food processor. Some people with extremely severe conditions may want to discard the chicken and vegetables and consume only the broth.

If you have UC or Crohns or other digestive issues be really careful when someone says that THEIR product works because it worked for a few people. YOU MUST take charge of your own health, TEST and do not guess. An antioxidant that was helpful to one person could cause acute problems in another. We must take personal responsibility for our health- we can't blame doctors, people, etc. To heal from UC YOU MUST change your diet, there is no way at all around it. If you don't want to ? You won't be healed or in remission long term. I know what flared this up. I got a little careless in the last year and while I felt good, there were too many things triggering my inflammation response. As soon as I had issues with my neck I should have done this, but I didn't. We forgive ourselves and move on. Doing this diet and broth and regime will long term help my discs and more.

I am also going a more natural and spiritual path to healing as well, seeing a Functional Medicine MD who can run test, prescribe, admit to hospital, along with other holistic options. So, my best advice, do not guess- TEST yourself. Find a functional medicine doctor in your area. I went to GOOGLE and typed in: Functional Medicine Doctor Indiana Gastro and found several options. Called around, prayed and made an appt with someone I am excited to see. You can do this too- ONLY thing and I mean the ONLY thing stopping anyone is belief and will. Even if you are on a limited diet you can make this broth and change your diet. Even if you have no one supporting you at home you can support yourself, come to FB and get daily encouragement. For every 'what if' someone can come up with, God has an answer.

SEEK IT! and believe. IF YOU BELIEVE you will be well and if you SPEAK to your body and take the supplements, medications, change your diet, lower your stress, love yourself and take the path to total healing, you will find answers and BE WELL. I am not anti doctor, I am PRO HEALTH and healing! That's what I'm doing and I encourage you to do the same!

With love,
