I recently enrolled in a ten thousand dollar copywriting school and am learning more than I ever dreamed possible. One of my niche specialties is the Christian Market. Reading thru the materials on the growing trillion dollar industry the Christian Copywriting market is I was stunned when I heard the statistics of so-called Christians who can’t write copy or sell a thing!

Sadly, a strong religious belief that pleasure and money equal sin and poverty equals holiness has led many into bondage.

With a growing number of Christians looking to make money working at home, marketing on the internet, or starting their own companies it startles me how many are not only afraid of making money they don’t know how to write copy for beans.

The unbiblical view that it is wrong to receive money in exchange for something that enables you to grow in your walk with God has led many ‘would be entrepreneurs’ into ministry type businesses literally giving away their products and services. Our economy is driven by the exchange of commerce and goods.

Pray for God to expand your borders- and EXPECT Him to!

The same people who pray for God to increase their borders and expand their checkbook are disillusioned into thinking it’s wrong to earn a lot of money on the internet marketing things that benefit someone’s spiritual growth. If you pray for expanded borders it would only make sense that increase in profits would go with that growth. If it didn’t? You are in debt my friends.

If you Google the word Christian Products you’ll find 54,000,000 entries. Unfortunately when the glitz, banners and typical “Jesus Loves You” clichés are removed there’s nothing to market anything. Just telling someone a Bible is leather and giving it’s dimensions does nothing. We need to realize that many unchurched consumers are purchasing these goods and they are accustomed to marketing with benefits, not just features.

Tell me what this leather Bible will DO FOR ME. It’s that simple.

Christian businesses, churches and more need copywriters who are NOT religious and can write copy and marketing that gets RESULTS. We must realize that to earn money is success in business. Your value in the marketplace is what people will pay. If you are not making a profit you are running a NON-profit, no pun intended.

We live in a day when internet commerce gives more than a thousand ways to sell anything. One of my specialties is taking the marketing I’ve learned outside the church and creating huge profits for the kingdom.

Bottom line is- it takes money to spread the gospel, Christians need to get over their religious fears.
