Facebook Call To Action Button

The CTA: Call To Action Button On Facebook Business Pages

Facebook Business Pages are the number one place online I direct small business owners to who want to make more money, work with highly targeted clients and not spend their entire life in front of their computer all day. It's no small wonder so many people turn to us to get the latest training on Facebook marketing. My team and I spent the last 2.5 years building a page that has MORE engagement than even Coca-Cola and Starbucks! (see chart below). These two brands have been featured over the last several years as a model to watch when it comes to Facebook pages. And WE are outperforming even their work! How do we have more engagement and WHY are people talking back to our brand more than others? One thing that is very crucial in what we teach- Our focus is on HOW to create CULTURE vs just selling your products.

Facebook Pages Engagement

I've been involved in Direct Response Marketing and Copywriting for more than 19 years. Built my first successful multi-million dollar brand online in the 90's! So I've seen things from an eagle's eye perspective online. Watching how customers interact with brands, how they respond to marketing, advertisements and copy is my expertise. All of this is critical for you to understand when I share with you why I believe the ALL NEW Facebook CTA: Call To Action button is a great idea and …. it's a deceptive one.

Why I think the Facebook CTA button is fantastic! The changes that Facebook has made to help the small business owner succeed wildly are incredible. For people who only pitch their products, talk about what they sell, or come to their business page 2-3 times per week? Not so much. It's obvious that the platform was built for and around people who want to interact with other PEOPLE. Write that down. It's key. So when a brand steps into this platform to do marketing, and to have relationship with prespective clients, we must remember this key. People want to interact with other PEOPLE, they don't want to interact with brands, products or items that have no relationship connected to it.

A BUTTON is not going to facilitate or create relationship. COPYWRITING is not going to do this either. What will is good ole fashioned interaction, time taken to talk back and really caring about the customer. USA TODAY is a great model of this type of marketing. So is Joel Osteen. CULTURE is being built on these top pages, as we can see from the image below.

If you are gong to install the new CTA button on your Facebook business page, just remember this one thing: Just because you have a button going to your top class or product for sale doesn't mean you'll get any sales.

Why I think the Facebook CTA button is deceptive! Good copy, plus a fantastic product partnered with the right targeted audience is what creates a hugely successful direct response marketing campaign. The CTA button is going to deceive alot of small business owners because now they're going to think that everyone will be running to their sales page buying their products or services simply because they installed it. This is not the case. Anymore than throwing your product on Facebook ads means you'll make a lot of money.

We have created multiple classes helping hundreds of thousands of small business owners to learn how to target their audience, write better copy and stop wasting money on ads on the Facebook platform. We've heard tens of thousands of stories from our clients like Stephanie Flowers who built a business when both she AND her husband lost their job, with 7 kids, and were able to do ads only one day per week! They completely replaced their income in just 6 months by using our trainings and marketing a fantastic product. But that doesn't mean that anyone who throws up an ad on Facebook will see success anymore than anyone who builds a business page on Facebook should expect to see sales. The CTA button means NOTHING if you're not building culture.

What is CULTURE? I wrote an article on this topic you won't want to miss. "How Engagement And Culture Drives Content On Facebook." It's what makes the platform sing! It's WHY Facebook is the forerunner in all of social media marketing. It's why other platforms started to pattern themselves after Facebook. AND…. it's crucial if you're going to have success in your small business online. Building culture on a Facebook page, Twitter page, your blog and anywhere else your footprint is online is the missing link in ROI for your business.

I do recommend you install the Facebook CTA button on your page! I don't recommend you put all of your hope in it however. Add culture, and the rest of our proven time-tested training for the best results.

When you first go to your Facebook page, you'll see THIS greeting you. (see below). A button that says, "Create Call-to-Action". CLICK ON IT.

Facebook Call To Action Button

When you click on it, you'll see this the following instructions. "Add a button to your Page that takes people directly to your app or website." My best recommendation is this. Drive people to your Opt In Offer OR your best performing sales page at the time. (You can edit this button and link anytime you want, so you could adjust it for what you're promoting that month.)  If you have a service you offer and people 'Book' your services, than use "Book Now". You could use the "Contact Us" button to go directly to your customer care page, but I advise that you do as much customer care on your page as possible so that others can see what you're saying, so they see how amazing you are, how you help others and that you have answers. If you have an app, feel free to use that button. Selling a game? Go for the play game button.

I am currently using the Shop Now button and driving it to my Social Media Bootcamp which NO ONE should be without if they have a small business. It's a game changer and they're going to be left behind if they don't do this class. It not only makes my life easier if people take this class (because I can help them get greater results in less time!) but it will also help any small business owner with any product or service, as it has the LATEST information on Facebook marketing, shows HOW to stop spending so much useless time on the platform as a business AND my ground breaking strategy that we used with Facebook ads that NO ONE had ever heard about before this past November. This BIG change we made last year helped us to attract over 6000 NEW people to our page per week with ads that are less than $100 per day! (And I show how Stephanie made more than $50,000 with $5 ads on this class, so it is helpful for everyone!)

WHAT class do you have that teaches what everyone of your ideal clients should know? What info product do you offer? What product do you have to market that changes everything for your client quickly. THAT is where your CTA button should link. Help people get fast results!

2015-01-31_0825Just remember this one thing that I talk about ALL the time. It's not just 'one thing', one bell or whistle that will change everything for you on the Facebook platform. Installing the CTA button won't do a thing if you're not talking to people on your page. It won't do a thing if the people on your page aren't talking back to YOU and your brand! It won't do a thing if your page is super small and you aren't doing at least $5 per day in highly targeted Facebook ads like I teach in my Facebook Templates class. (Just because you have the button doesn't mean your page will grow with targeted prospects!)

The way Facebook marketing works most effectively is the combination of excellent content people can't wait to read every single day, all day long. Highly targeted ads that are constantly building the page every single day. Building culture and talking back to people every single day.

This is nothing new. It's not something we all don't know from experience as a customer. It's good ole fashioned marketing 101. And YOU can do it simply, and effectively on a Facebook page. Have fun in your business! That's the key!

With love,
Sandi Krakowski
