Go BEYOND The Call Of Duty At Work, Try The Call Of #LOVE

By |Blog|

Go BEYOND the call of duty to the call of #LOVE in your work! The biggest injustice in the public health system today is this: ONE SIZE does not fit all. When one in the medical field seeks to make everyone a 'typical' case study we end up with the epidemic proportions of a 'mess' we are in now. I wrote an article on depression earlier this week (see my blog for that) and I stated that the biggest thing that helped me over 15 years ago was that someone cared and didn't make me a 'one size fits all case study'. This is the NORMAL path of medical care. The RIGHT path. I battle multiple autoimmune conditions and the reason I have been so successful in the war is this: We treat body, soul and [...]

Remembering Robin Williams & My Own Battle With Depression

By |Blog|

This equation [...]

She Changed Us All…. Thank You Grandma Betty

By |Blog|

My grandparents all passed away by the time I was 5 years old. I really only met 2 of them. The other two were gone before I was even born. My heart longed for grandparents most of my childhood and even into my teen years. At my wedding I really missed not having grandparents there to cheer me on and give me words of wisdom. So when I first saw Grandma Betty on InstaGram I instantly adopted her. She became my favorite grandma. Every single morning I would make my coffee and then check in on what Grandma Betty had to say. She became a real part of my life.  She was the world's grandma. Her grandson, Zach Belden, wanted to capture some moments with his grandmother as she was battling lung cancer and the [...]
