You Never Know What Someone's Story Might Be
Life can be hard. We never know what someone else's story is.
Behind anger and outbursts, or behavior that isn't right can be a shattered life and a broken heart. It's impossible to know someone's story from just observing them on social media. Most people who see me think I have a golden finger that makes everything I touch turn to success, when in reality, I've had miserable failures, made horrible mistakes and my life has never ever been a charmed existence where things come easily.
Things have been very hard for me, most of my life. I didn't fit in during my school years. Lived a painful life as a kid, being raised without a real motherly figure and feeling lonely even in my own family. Abuse and trauma was my normal, and it didn't stop after high school. A gang rape, making a horrible decision to have an abortion as a young girl, ending up in a stupid relationship as a young woman, then struggling with depression when I was abandoned as a young single mommy.
You'd never know these things by just looking at me. You'd never know how hard I've fought, the wars I've lived through, the healing I've been thru. I've never ever had a golden finger that brings me success, I've worked my butt off, fallen many times, struggled through things in my twenty years of building successful companies that most people would have quit thru and let go.
You NEVER KNOW what someone's story is. It takes time to know people. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Listen for their story. Love well, because many people on social media would never be found anywhere that people hang out.
I built many successful businesses working my butt off thru fear, doubt worry and insecurity hiding behind my computer, living an isolated life. Even when several of my companies made millions of dollars in profit, my doubts and fear didn't leave until the last few years. You NEVER know someone's story and you never know WHO is going to endure, who is going to overcome, or who will run past the rest of society to a lane very few ever travel on. Love well. Take time. Lay aside your judgements and remember, your story matters, and you never know someone's story until you take time to listen and love well.
We all have a story, life can be hard. We're all fighting our own war. You never know. Take time to listen, believe the best of people even when you can't see it and love well. #BEMORE story is.
