Yesterday morning I was reading through all the emails in my in box. I get thousands every single day. Some I need to read. Some I don't. The goal is to delete as many as I can quickly so I can get to what I really do need. 🙂
Then I saw an email I didn't expect! From Facebook's Business Operations! Oh my goodness… my first thought was, "What did we do wrong? Are we in trouble?" HA! My word…..isn't it funny where our first thoughts go?
The email stated that they wanted to reach out to me as one of their top advertisers and success stories on the Facebook Marketing platform and were asking if I could meet with them to give them some feedback on how the ad manager works. They wanted to know if there are suggestions I might have to make it work more effectively for businesses and how they could serve me.
WOW. That was my second though. Hmmmmm… and opportunity to serve more people! I'm in!
I posted this on my Facebook page and it was very interesting to me the amount of comments that came in! VERY encouraging, actually. But there were some people who started whining about how '"The small business owner needs a break and this is too expensive to advertise, tell Facebook that!" I responded that I disagreed, as we have people spending $10 per DAY on their ads making hundreds and thousands of dollars per day, without ANY prior success!
Then…. as is my nature as a teacher and a leader, I got to thinking how to help more people by this incident.
I hear this everyday.."Someday I'll get training & learn how to market my biz/ministry. Until then I'll pray."
Try that with gas & your car. "Someday I'll put gas in my car to get me to my job to be able to provide for my family. Until then I will sit in my car & pray"
I personally know what it's like to peel out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. I KNOW what it's like to press forward past unbelief & struggle… What was "normal" in my bloodline & what everyone said was possible. Ironically the hardest part was the pressing through. If I could come up with $300 per month to put gas in my car to go to a job that paid $15 an hour surely I could sell my crap on eBay or Craigslist or wow, what a revelation, I could sell my good stuff so I could do more ads or get more training & work hard to get good at what I needed to.
Buying ads isn't a pop shot! It's not a lottery & it's not an option. Anyone telling you that you can build a sustainable business online without ads & getting good training is feeding you a delusion! Spit it out! You can't get anywhere in biz without marketing & ads that will sustain & last, you can't even get to a job without "moving"…. On a bike, on our feet, in a car.
When you take a class, listen. Really pay attention. Make your brain work, don't be apathetic & buy into the game of over analyzing everything & getting no where. Don't look for loop holes & quick fixes & ways to do it for free. You'll sacrifice your time & your family doing that. It's time for people to rise up, press through, endure & be relentless & keep living & stop focusing on all the struggle & all the worry & all the striving. It's time.
My personal experience of leading now a million people in our client base & my personal 18 year history of creating successful companies has proven to me that the real battle is in what we do daily, what we're willing to press through, learning to change our perspective & being willing to run a biz like a business to see it profitable. Some of you will love me for saying what you KNOW to be true. Others will hate me because you don't want the truth you just want it easy.
This is a NEW SKILL!
Don't be envious of others when they get it & you don't. Press through. Get yourself in a closed room or new environment & learn. Stop trying to learn with the laptop on the kitchen counter with kids running in & out of the room. That's not learning. DEVOTE TIME to this! I can say without any doubt or hesitation that the people who do this SEE ADS CONVERT!
Trying to figure out "how much am I spending per click" or "what is my conversion on sales" before you add 5000 to your page & write at least 50-100 ads is not logical as you're attempting to extract data without sufficient resources to pull from. The REAL BATTLE is in doing the work.
I've NEVER in 3 years of teaching this & 18 years of doing PPC myself ever seen ANYONE get distracted, weary, confused, overly analytical or anything else negative who HAS DONE 100 ads & did the hard work of 100 ads. I always see it around 7 ads or 3 ads or someone who is doing a class on their phone while their spouse drives down the road. You know, squeeze it in learning. NO ONE gets to mastery that way.
Devote the time & time will pay you! This is said with LOVE but also with sobriety because there is so much crap out there from other so called gurus who are feeding the lazy mind that you don't have to work & it's all super easy.
It's NOT easy but it's worth it!
